The Founder of our college, Jagadguru Padmabhushan Sri Sri Sri Dr.Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji, who had been the 71st peedathipathi of Sri Adi Chunchanagiri Mahasamasthana Mutt, Karnataka, one of the most renowned mutts in Karnataka state. The mutt, though, has involved in so many society-oriented services, our Mahaswamiji took up providing Education as the prime significant service. Hence, the Mutt has been having Sri Adi Chunchanagiri Shikshana Trust which governs 485 Educational institutions inclusive of Schools, Higher Education institutes and Professional degree institutes. With His Holiness’ blessings our institution, Sri Adi Chunchanagiri Women’s College had emerged as one among these prime institutions in Tamilnadu, 1996.
